Diogenes and Horatio of the Fossor Corporation, a group of monster-hunters, found a vampire victim and decided to find the coven they knew existed in Eugene. That night Claire went clubbing and introduced herself to Ashok Patel and Vincent Tan, two IT workers desperate to meet a girl. Claire chose Patel as her target, and after sweet talking him convinced him to follow her. The Fossors immediately clocked Claire as a vampire and followed her. Claire bumped into zombie Gwen Dylan, knocking her over, and cursed her for her clumsiness before carrying on. Horatio picked Gwen up and there was an instant attraction between the two of them.
