History: (Secret Six III #30, Doom Patrol V #19) - Eric Fine was a slacker who detested his stepfather Kevin, who wanted him to get a job. Kevin kicked him out of the house to learn to be a responsible adult, but Eric received a DVD from his recently deceased grandfather, a founding member of the criminal organization the 100. He left Eric his fortune and his mistresses and glorified his criminal ways, committing crimes in suits and ties, and reaping the rewards of the high life. Eric decided to bring sexy class back to the crime world, and after purchasing a suit he gunned down his father and enlisted his nerdy friends Leo Mackenery and Rod to form C.R.U.S.H., the Companions Recently United To Spread Hate. His friends weren’t really behind the idea, nor were they particularly evil, but he bullied them into complying. C.R.U.S.H. hired mercenaries the Secret Six to seize Oolong Island, a sovereign nation, to serve as their headquarters. The Six battled Oolong’s protectors the Doom patrol, and C.R.U.S.H. observed from a helicopter. Eric thought the Six were weak, since the female members demanded there be no civilian casualties, so he ordered his new mistresses to go on a suicide mission to ignite Oolong’s dormant volcano in hopes of killing the Six and the DP. The catastrophe convinced the DP to call a halt to fighting, but Six member Bane was adamant that the situation changed nothing. DP member Elasti-Woman diverted the lava to an uninhabited part of the island, and Oolong president Veronica Cale uncloaked the helicopter C.R.U.S.H. was using to observe the proceedings. Cale demanded that C.R.U.S.H. retreat, but Eric Fine threw a fit, refusing to be upstaged by a woman. His allies convinced him that discretion was the better part of valor, and he flew away, swearing vengeance in typical super villain procedure.
