History: Dark Nemesis was a supervillain group of mercenaries hired by the Veil to defeat the Teen Titans II. Dark Nemesis failed, and were sent to prison.

After a jailbreak Dark Nemesis leader Axis killed Scorcher and tried to frame Teen Titan Risk for the murder. This shook the public's faith in the Titans until the truth was revealed.

(Titans II #21) - Dark Nemesis tried to break into S.T.A.R. Labs, but were defeated by the Titans. Troia took her frustration at Roy Harper being mutilated by Prometheus out on the villains, and had to be restrained.
