Powers: Dark Opal was a supreme sorcerer, a fierce hand-to-hand combatant, and trained in the use of swords, staves and bows. Dark Opal possessed superhuman strength.
History: Dark Opal was born the heir of the House of Opal, but he had a natural lust for power, so he developed secret alliances and honed his mystic skills. Upon becoming ruler of the House of Opal he attacked and subjugated the House of Amethyst, becoming ruler of all Gemworld. He ruled for twenty years, prepared to conquer other dimensions, and attempted to create a mystic breastplate containing gems from the twelve royal houses of Gemworld. All of Dark Opal's schemes were thwarted by Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld, and he was usurped.
