Powers: Despot possessed telepathy and telekinesis.

History: Despot was a member of the government black ops Team One, and was later part of the SkyWatch program. The Comet Effect enhanced his powers and drove him mad, so the government put him in suspended animation alongside the WarGuard, conceived of as a worst-case doomsday weapon. Despot and the Warguard were freed during a Daemonite attack, and he went rogue. Despot was killed by his son Battalion.

Despot had a cameo in The Authority I #21.
