History: (World's Best Comics #1) - Doc Davis was driven into Chinatown by his assistant Mac, responding to a Tong Wars related shooting. The head of a curio shop showed him the wounded man, and when Doc went downstairs to wash up before surgery he noted a number of boxes labled "narcotics." After saving the man's life Doc confided in Mac that he wanted to alert the police to the drugs, but he had to be sure they weren't just empty boxes. Doc and Mac broke into the curio shop after hours and confirmed their suspicion, but thge curio owner discovered them, and led them into a small room at gunpoint, promising to take care of them later. Doc overheard the owner and other Tongs discussing stealing a shipment of narcotics aboard a train destined to be sent overseas by the Red Cross. The man whom Doc saved freed him in gratitude, and Doc and Mac drove like mad to catch up with the train. They boarded the train, and found that the Tongs were ready to kill the passengers to get the drugs, but Doc easily dispatched them with some fisticuffs and told them they'd be on their way to jail.
