History: (Enginehead #3-5) - Doctor Grass invested in Arturo Lapaglia's human trafficking organization that was shut down by "superhero" Enginehead. Grass tracked down Arturo's head of security, Electrocutioner, angered that he'd lost his investment and casting the blame on him. Electrocutioner pleaded for his life, agreeing that because of his monetary loss Grass owned him, but told him to direct his anger at Enginehead. Grass hired supervillain Floronic Man to kill Enginehead, but he failed in his mission. When the Demolition Team disbanded Jackhammer fell into drug addiction, missing the rush of his supervillain days. Jackhammer saw what Enginehead did to Grass' organization, and realized his fighting style was reminiscent of Rosie. Mad scientist the Mechanic had used Rosie to form the gestalt entity Enginehead, and Jackhammer reported to Grass about what he knew. Grass, with his bodyguards Tweedledee and Tweedledum, confronted the Mechanic. After learning that the Mechanic created Enginehead to fix the flaw in humanity he decided they could save the world together combining the power of plant and machine. Mechanic agreed to help him, and Grass reminded him he owed him several million dollars if he ever felt tempted to back out. Enginehead ended up sacrificing part of himself to build Irontown, a new kind of engine and home for the disaffected of the world.
