History: (Beowulf #4) - Wallachian prince Vlad Tepes gained the name Vlad the Impaler for his method of dispatching his enemies. He invaded the far east, spreading terror and death. His reputation for evil was great, and when he started drinking the blood of his foes he was called Dracula, son of the dragon. He pursued the Ashers, the lost tribe of Israel, into the desert. They allied themselves with Beowulf, ruler of the Geats, and he added his men to a great battle against Dracula. Dracula was about to strike down Beowulf when he was stabbed in the back by one of his own men. Satan appeared, revealing that he'd possessed the Wallachian, because he had never seen a man as evil as Dracula, and wanted his soul for his own, transforming him into a vampire servant.
(Beowulf #6) - In Hell Satan told Dracula he was to be his new heir, a fitting replacement for Grendel. Grendel's Mother overheard him, and told her son his master had forsaken him. Grendel had had enough, and after pulling a stalactite from the cavern ceiling stabbed Satan through the heart, and ascended his throne.
