Powers: Drafty was a sub par soldier armed with a stand-issue firearm, with which he was a terrible shot.History: (World's Best Comics #1) - Drafty was a soldier enlisted in the U.S. army, despite his complete inability to fire a gun straight. Drafty and his buddy had a good laugh when they saw that someone posted a notice from the 1800s' on the officer's bulletin board, warning that when soldiers shot buffalos on the parade grounds they had to avoid shooting in the direction of the general's quarters. Drafty thought the old parade grounds must have been a dump if buffalo were roaming around. Drafty went to relieve a fellow soldier of guard duty when he saw a buffalo, and started shooting wildly at it. A few bullets struck the general's quarters, and the general was roused to action, suspecting fifth columnists at work. He came across the buffalo and cut it in twain with his saber, but the two parts ran away. Drafty was still in pursuit, and accidentally shot his commanding officer in the posterior. The other soldiers responded, and found that the "buffalo" was actually two spies in a costume. The general told Drafty he'd petition congress for a medal for him to reward his part in capturing the spies, but he'd also make sure Drafty was on guardhouse duty for life for flouting rules and shooting at his quarters.
