PowersDr. Doome had a time machine that let him travel to any period in the past, as well as pluck any individual from the past and bring them into the present.

History: (Leading Comics #3) - Dr. Doome had theories on time travel that were ridiculed by his peers, and he came to hate the present day. He invented a time machine that could pluck people from the past, and brought Alexander The Great, Nero Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, and Napoleon from their own times to his secret lab. He told them they would rule the world by his side if they could raise funds and materials for a time machine that could penetrate the future. The villains of history were impressed by his advanced technology, and agreed to help him after he gave them scepters that could return them to their own time whenever they chose. They robbed a national bank, and ran afoul of mysterymen Green Arrow and Speedy in their civilian identities. Khan disabled Speedy, and claimed his two-way radio as a prize. They made an escape in a seaplane Doome had waiting for them, and returned to Doome's lab. Doome had the funds, but now he needed precious metals for construction. He sent Napoleon to the Canadian border to steal a shipment of gold, Alexander to the Florida everglades for radium, Genghis Khan to Alaska for platinum, Nero to the high seas for a uranium shipment, and Attila to South Dakota for a trainload of tantalum. The Seven Soldiers of Victory heard the complete plan over Genghis' stolen radio, and they split up to track the villains. Dr. Doome watched via remote as his men were defeated, and fled back to their own time periods. He panicked, and searched for a place in the past to escape to. The Soldiers finished their tasks, and pursued Doome to his castle, where his booby traps failed to stop them. Doome used his time machine to flee into the past, and the heroes followed, finding themselves in 1200 BC during the Greek sack of Troy. Doome had convinced the legendary Ulysses that the Soldiers were enemies, and he sent his troops against them. When Ulysses saw how valiantly the Soldiers fought he knew they could not be villains, and ordered his troops back. Doome fled to the present, and Speedy had the presence of mind to take a time scepter with him, so the Soldiers returned to their own time. In desperation Doome tried to send himself into the future, but without the rare metals he still needed the machine exploded. The Soldiers were unsure if he made it, but knew that if he did there would be heroes like them in the future to take care of business.
