History: (Justice League of America II #1-4) - Dr. Impossible made a name for himself as a villain, claiming to be Mister Miracle's brother from Apokolips. There were rumors that he was only a former Penguin goon that got his hands on Apokoliptan tech. Solomon Grundy and Professor Ivo shanghaied Impossible into working for them, attaching a Starro to his neck to mind control him. They were constructing a new Amazo, and needed components. Impossible broke into Will Magnus' lab, decapitated the Metal Men Platinum and Gold and stole Red Tornado's android body for Amazo's shell. Grundy sent Impossible to kidnap Parasite, and during the job he was confronted by the hero Black Lightning. Impossible beat him mercilessly for damaging some of his equipment. Back at Grundy's hq Ivo had him chop off Parasite's forearm so it could be transplanted into Red Tornado's body. The villains were confronted by the Justice League of America, who removed the Starro that kept Impossible in line. The League defeated Grundy.

(Titans Annual II #1, Titans II #37) - Deathstroke hired Dr. Impossible to guard the Methuselah Device being built by Sivana. The Device could restore youth and health, and Impossible was suitably impressed. The device was finally completed when Deathstroke’s Titans gathered the final component, blood from a Kryptonian. Deathstroke regenerated Jericho with the Methuselah Device, and told the Titans it was theoretically possible to resurrect their dead loved ones if they agreed to keep following him and help him kill superheroes whose superior DNA would form the templates for the Methuselah Device to work. They all agreed, except for Cinder and Arsenal, who saw resurrecting the dead as an abomination. Cinder tried to destroy the Device, and the Titans brawled. Impossible wanted nothing to do with the fight, he’d finished his job building the Device, so he took his leave.
