History: (Welcome to Tranquility #2) - Dr. Rachel Steel was a superpowered Maxi whose enhanced senses served her well as medical examiner and in assisting police investigations in Tranquility, a retirement home for superheroes. Mr. Articulate was fatally stabbed with his own swordcane during a scuffle between Sheriff Lindo, the former members of the Liberty Squad and Emoticon and his entourage at the Chick’n Go. Who the murderer was wasn’t evident and Sheriff Lindo was determined to find the culprit. Bug, a reporter from the rag Tattler snuck into the coroner’s office and took pictures of Mr. Articulate’s corpse, but Dr. Rachel Steel ended up kicking him out. Rachel finished her examination and Lindo gave reporter Colette Pearson an exclusive to keep other media vultures away. Dr. Steel revealed that Mr. Articulate had late-stage cancer, only having months to live, and wondered why he’d kept his illness secret from his friends. Dr. Steel lit up a join, and when Colette questioned her professionalism Steel said she needed it because of her superhuman eyes. The entire town turned out for Mr. Articulate’s funeral.
