Powers: Echo had a wetware neural processor implanted in her skull, giving her the ability to interface directly with electronic data in computers, intercept electronic transmissions and read minds. She had little control over her powers; she was constantly flooded by noise. Echo wore a suit that dampened this incoming noise, and the suit also projected a holographic field that gave her camouflage for short periods of time. Echo was a consummate assassin and fighter, and armed with a silencer.

History: (Secret Origins of Super-Villains 80-Page Giant #1) - Russia; A young girl was recruited by the G.R.U. and began intense training to become a covert agent.

(Secret Origins of Super-Villains 80-Page Giant #1 (fb)) - Afghanistan; At age sixteen the girl had her graduation exercise, a seek-and-destroy mission in which she killed fourteen members of a Muhjahidin band.

(Secret Origins of Super-Villains 80-Page Giant #1 (fb)) - The girl became part of the Turing Program in which wetware was implanted in her skull. She was the fifth test subject and the only one to survive. As Echo she served her country for two years, using the wetware to break into top secret U.S. files. As time passed her powers increased to the point where she picked up electronic transmissions and human thoughts. The constant stream of noise gave her migraines and nearly drove her insane. She was given a suit that dampened, but didn’t eliminate, the noise.

Echo fought Batman during No Man's Land.

(Secret Origins of Super-Villains 80-Page Giant #1) - A CIA cell got a hold of computer files that detailed Echo’s background and her involvement in the Russian Turing Program. Echo eliminated the cell members one by one, and then erased the files they had on her.
