PowersThe Elasians were an advanced race who had achieved space travel and created planet destroying weapons. Elasian soldiers were armed with nuclear disintegrators. Elasian women’s tears produced a chemical that compelled men to fall in love with them.

History(Who’s Who in Star Trek #1) - The Elasians were a highly militaristic and technologically advanced race. In their society women were considered inferior to men, but could achieve the royal rank of Dholman through a series of combat rituals. Dilithium crystals, essential to warp drive, were abundant on Elas. When the Elasians mastered space travel they encountered the Troyus, the only other sentient race in the Tellun star system. The Troyus had a culture as bellicose as the Elasians, and the two races declared war on each other; a conflict that would last a century until they had both come to possess weapons capable of destroying planets and realized that further conflict would lead to mutually assured destruction. Marriage was arranged for Dohlman Elaan and the ruler of Troyus, although an agitator tried to disrupt the union. The Elasians and Troyus both joined the U.F.P. (United Federation of Planets).

The Elasians, along with the rest of the characters from DC Comics run on Star Trek, were not part of the mainstream DC Universe. To simplify matters, I refer to these characters as inhabiting Earth-Star Trek. Surely, somewhere out there in the DC multiverse, there's a Star Trek universe, or there would be if DC still had the rights to make comics about Star Trek.

The Elasians received a profile in Who's Who in Star Trek #1, a summary of their television appearance.
