History: <30th Century> When the Sun-Eater threatened the entire Milky Way galaxy the Legion of Super-Heroes recruited five of the universe's worst criminals to help combat it. These villains, the Fatal Five, helped destroy the Sun-Eater and received pardons for their crimes in return.

The Fatal Five had numerous battles against the Legion and tried on more than one occasion to conquer a planet for their own use.

Due to the events of Zero Hour the Fatal Five's existence was erased from DC continuity.
