FOG

Real Name: Unknown

Class: Altered human

Occupation: Assassin

Group Affiliation: None

Known Relatives: Night (sister)

Aliases: Nebel

Base of Operations: Germany

First Appearance: All-Star Squadron #44 (April, 1985)

Powers: Fog could turn part or all of himself and his costume into a mist-like form. In this form he could asphyxiate a victim, and was immune to conventional attacks.

History: Fog and his sister Night were given superhuman powers by Nazi scientists shortly after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. They were meant to personify the “nacht und nebel” that Hitler decreed enemies of the Third Reich would fall into. Night and Fog were assigned missions to capture or kill various enemies of the Third Reich. Their first high profile assassination attempt was against Irish-American steel magnate “Emerald” Ed Reilly, who refused to slow his production of war munitions. They threw him from a window, but his daughter Danette, the superhuman known as Firebrand II, caught him. The strain of the fall still killed him, and Firebrand attacked the Nazi duo. Her teammates in the All-Star Squadron Hourman I, Phantom Lady I and Tarantula joined the battle, but Night and Fog escaped. Fog’s exploits after the war are still unknown.
