History: (Green Lantern I #25) - Socialite Percy De Chaunce came from a wealthy family that hadn't worked in 10 generations. The family fortune had run dry, and his inheritance was simply a mansion. He'd rather die than work and disgrace the family name, so he created the masked identity of the Fop and turned to crime. The Fop was obsessed with being a gentleman, wearing the finest clothes and perfumes. He assembled a gang of recently released criminals and told them he'd show them how to be real gentlemen so they could get away with crimes without anyone noticing. He picked out elegant suits for them, telling the shopkeeper gentlemen didn't carry cash and leaving behind his calling card. When the shopkeep realized he didn't leave any contact information behind he knew he'd been robbed. Fop and his men attended a costume ball, robbing the attendees and saying it was just a game because Fop was portraying Raffles, the gentleman thief. Green Lantern and Doiby Dickles ran them off, and they found his event calendar, so when they saw he had a midnight supper club meeting they knew that's where he'd strike next. GL and doiby foiled him again, and the fop swallowed poison, preferring to die rather than go to jail.
