History:  (iZombie #1-3) - The Fossor Corporation was concerned with an uptick in supernatural activity in Eugene, Oregon, and dispatched agents Diogenes and Horatio. During their surveillance they briefly spotted the zombie Gwen and her friend Ellie, a ghost. Diogenes told Horatio to keep his head in the game. He knew he was suffering after the loss of his love Bethany, but he could make sure what happened to her would never happen to anyone else. They pumped each other up for a night of monster-hunting. Nemia yelled at her coven of vampires, realizing one of them had gone rogue and was leaving behind a trail of bodies, which would attract unwanted attention. Diogenes and Horatio discovered the latest vampire victim in an alleyway, and analyzed the scene. Horatio took pictures with his Polaroid camera, and Diogenes, who still treated him like an apprentice, suggested he get more modern tech. Horatio said the camera belonged to someone important, and he’d investigate in his own way. They decided to pick up the trail of the vampires they knew must surely be hiding in Eugene. The Fossors spotted Claire at a nightclub, immediately clocking her as a vampire. Being near a dance floor bothered Horatio, and Diogenes asked if he’d even talked to a woman since Bethany’s death, irritating Horatio. Claire left the club with IT tech Ashok Patel, her chosen victim, and the Fossors trailed close behind. Claire bumped into Gwen, knocking her over, and cursed her for her clumsiness before carrying on. Horatio picked Gwen up and there was an instant attraction between the two of them. Diogenes scolded Horatio, telling him they couldn’t lose their target, and he told Gwen he hoped he’d see her around sometime. Claire led Patel to a dark alley and after some passionate kisses she prepared to feed on him.
