History: (Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #4)-The Gang is comprised of four costumed criminals who grew up together in poverty on the South Side of Chicago. The source of their powers is unknown. They were determined to overcome their background and become wealthy, and soon found themselves employed by a criminal organization named the Council. The Gang soon found themselves in prison after a conflict with Power Girl, except for Brains, who escaped.

(JLA #28) - Triumph tried to sell the Gang memorabilia he stole from the JLA trophy room, but they told him they wanted weapons, not junk. Brains taunted him about his fall from grace as a hero, and told Kong and Bulldozer to kill him. Triumph freed the genie Lkz from a pen he found in the trophy room, and it incinerated the Gang.

In pre-Crisis continuity the Gang were enemies of Supergirl, not Power Girl.
