History: (JLA #40, 41) - Glimmer was a member of the Theocracy, heroes from ten thousand worlds whose aim was to be the last outpost of order before the eternal dark. The Theocracy was killed by Mageddon, with Glimmer left as the sole survivor. Flash brought Glimmer to Earth when Mageddon approached the planet. The JLA built an anti-war ray, a device powered by Glimmer that gave all of humanity the ability to resist Mageddon’s urgings for them to destroy each other, as well as temporary superpowers so that they could all help fight Mageddon, and the final blow was delivered when Superman absorbed the anti-sun that powered Mageddon.
