PowersGoliath was a primitive human that stood fifteen feet tall and possessed superhuman strength.

History: (Batman I #2) -Goliath was the last of the primitives that were missing links between humans and apes. A pituitary problem caused Goliath to grow fifteen feet tall, and he was worshipped as a godby the pygmies of the Mabonga country in Africa. Professor Drake was doing scientific investigations in Africa, and was fascinated by the missing link, so he took him captive. The pygmies objected to their god being taken from them, so they attacked, and when Drake traveled to Gotham City with Goliath, they followed. Batman foiled the pygmies, and Drake grew close to Goliath through psychological tricks. He told Batman he intended to study and civilize him. Drake began teaching him language, and dressed him in the fashions of the day, earning Goliath’s love. The Hackett and Snead Circus tried to buy Goliath, but Drake would hear nothing of it. The Circus sent goons to kill Drake, faking a suicide, and leaving Goliath to the circus in his will. Goliath came on the scene too late, and saw the killers flee the scene. He fell into a deep depression over the death of his friend, and put up no resistance when he was caged, redressed in animal skins, and put on as an attraction for Hackett and Snead. Goliath saw Grimes, his friend’s killer, in the crowd, and went berserk, killing Grimes and avenging Drake. Batman and Robin were present, but couldn’t stop his rampage. He fought them to the rafters, and fell to his death. Batman thought it was sad that Drake had made a man from a beast, but beastly men were responsible for both their deaths.

Due to the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Goliath's existence was erased from DC continuity.
