History: (Plastic Man #1) - Willie, nicknamed Goon by his schoolmates, was twenty years old and still in grade school. He was tormented by his schoolmates for his hideous looks and lack on intelligence, but he was gentle as a lamb and only wanted to make friends with his tormentors. They tarred and feathered him, further disfiguring him, but he was taken in by Professor Goodman, who helped him recover. Goodman claimed to be Goon's friend and told him he was working on a gas that would make people peaceful, bringing an end to war. Goon was so happy to have a friend he happily kidnapped people for Goodman's gas. In truth Goodman used the kidnap victims to pilot a super boring machine into the earth, killing them and unleashing a torrent of lava on the city. Plastic Man tried to stop him, but the Goon, still loyal to Goodman stopped him. When the Goon learned what Goodman was up to he felt used an strangled Goodman to death. The police later exonerated the Goon for his crimes, a surgeon offered to make him look normal, and his former tormentors felt bad about isfiguring him so they made friends with him.
