Powers: Gotham possessed superhuman strength, durability and speed as well as the powers of flight and heat vision. Gotham's powers were tied to his life force, and the more life force he expended the more his powers became enhanced, but every time Gotham used one of his powers he lost years off his life.

History: (Batman III #1) - A Kobra terrorist launched a surface-to-air missile, hitting a commercial airplane, and Batman lept into action. Batman used fuel boosters and his grappling hook to guide the plane into the Gulf of Blackgate, willing to sacrifice his own life, but at the last moment the impact was averted by Gotham's newest superheroes, Gotham and Gotham Girl. They told Batman Gotham was their city, and they were there to save it.
