Powers: Grunge could absorb the properties of any matter he touched.

History: Caitlin Fairchild, Burnout, Grunge and Freefall were offered a government internship by IO , but it turned out to be their program to unlock the powers of gen-active humans. They fled the facility and struck out for themselves as Gen13.

(The Authority I #13, 14, 16, 21) - The Authority became worldwide celebrities, and Gen 13 were invited to one of their after-hours parties aboard the Carrier. Swift invited Grunge back to her room for some romance, but after a sub-par performance he dozed off, and Swift commented to herself that he was all talk.

(The Authority I #20) - Grunge got invited to another Authority party, and Swift gave him another shot at love, but she also invited Dingo to hang with them.

(The Authority I #29) - Gen13 were invited to the marriage of Apollo and the Midnighter aboard the Authority's Carrier.
