Powers: Mudd was an ingenious yet unscrupulous entrepreneur. Mudd was impulsive, and never foresaw the full outcome or dangers of any of his schemes.History: (Who's Who in Star Trek #2) - Mudd was an amoral entrepreneur who illegally obtained a starcraft, and, without any proper license, used it to transport a cargo of beautiful women to provide wives for settlers of isolated planets. His lack of experience almost saw him die in an asteroid field before being rescued by Captain Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Mudd was guilty of conducting illegal marriages, as well as possession of the Venus Drug that made his women appear more beautiful than they were to prospective husbands. Kirk promised to be a character witness for him at his trial, and Mudd bemoaned that the jury would surely lock him up and throw away the key. Mudd was free a year later, and piloting a stolen starcraft he crash landed on a planet full of androids, declaring himself Mudd the First, their ruler. He lured the Enterprise to his planet, but Kirk defeated the androids using illogical actions. Mudd eventually helped in the androids defeat, but only after learning they meant to imprison him. An android version of Stella, the wife he left to pursue cosmic crime, was created to oversee his rehabilitation. The program failed, and Mudd soon turned up on a mining planet attempting to sell a love potion.

Mudd, along with the rest of the characters from DC Comics run on Star Trek, were not part of the mainstream DC Universe. To simplify matters, I refer to these characters as inhabiting Earth-Star Trek. Surely, somewhere out there in the 52, there's a Star Trek universe, or there would be if DC still had the rights to make comics about Star Trek.
Mudd received a profile in Who's Who in Star Trek #2, a summary of his television appearances.
