Powers: The Head used a metal rod to remove the brains of his victims, and by consuming the brains he experienced everything about his victim's life.

History: (Enigma #1, 2, 8 (fb)) - Travelling salesman Roger Cliff was passing through Arizona when he passed a farmstead, and found a red lizard. He decided to take the lizard home as a pet, and when it died he had it pickled. The lizard spoke to him, telling him a package would be arriving for him in the mail. The package soon arrived, and contained a striped swimsuit that altered Roger's mind. It was sent from Enigma, a mutant boy born at the farmstead, who was trying to recreate his life as the comic, and needed the villains in the comic to come to life. Now calling himself the Head he sought out victims, and sucked out their brains, absorbing the experiences of their entire lives, and getting an unbelievable high from it that compelled him to kill again and again. He was dubbed the Brain Eater, and was the subject of an intense police search. After dropping his lizard at a crime scene, the investigating officer took it home, allowing the Head to track him down and killing him. Before he could turn his attention to the cop's girlfriend the Enigma showed up, and pulled him off her with telekinesis before fleeing. Michael Smith, a troubled young man who was having dreams about Enigma, was also present. Head followed him a short ways before devouring his mind. His attack left Michael comatose and brain damaged, but Head was interrupted by Enigma, who fought with him, hoping for some sense and reality in their struggle. He saw only madness in the Head's eyes, so he bashed his head in, killing him.
