Powers: Hellgrammite had a monstrous insectoid body covered in an exoskeleton that gave him superhuman durability. He possessed superhuman strength, leaping ability, the power to spin cocoons and transform others into larval forms resembling his.

History: Entomologist Roderick Rose exposed himself to a mutagenic that transformed him into the insectoid Hellgrammite.

(JLA #18) - Julian September unhinged the universe s laws of probability with his engine of chance, briefly warping history so that everything worked in his favor. He became President and Hellgrammite was one of seven villains that independently came up with the plan to kidnap him. Hellgramite fought with the other villains, and they were all foiled by the JLA.

(JLA #59) - Joker Jokerized a number of inmates at the Slab, including Hellgrammite. The insane Hellgrammite was captured, given an antidote to the Joker Venom, and put in a metahuman holding facility in Death Valley.
