History: (Masters of the Universe: Origin of He-Man #1) - A loud noise woke Prince Adam in the middle of the night, and when he went to check on his parents King Randor and Queen Marlena he found them paralyzed in fear in their bed. Skeletor had broken into Randor's castle seeking the Power Sword he claimed was his birthright. Skeletor demanded that the young prince help him find the Power Sword, saying he would let him and his parents live to serve him as slaves, but if he refused he intended to wear Adam's skull as a crown. Adam handed Skeletor an antique sword hanging in the great hall, but Skeletor let it slip that he recognized it from his childhood and knew it was not what he sought. Skeletor noticed the great hall's tapestry, depicting the royal family's ancestor King Grayskull forging the Power Sword and using it to fight off Hordak's invasion of Eternia. He always thought that story to be a fairy tale, but Adam assured him it was not. Skeletor drew aside the tapestry and saw the Power Sword embedded in the stone wall behind it. No longer needing Adam he blasted him with his Havoc Staff, and the Sorceress of Grayskull reached out to Adam, bringing his consciousness to Castle Grayskull. The Sorceress told Adam she'd been watching over Grayskull until his arrival, and it was his destiny to claim the Power Sword and defeat Skeletor. Lord Grayskull had predicted that two of his descendants would war, and the result of their battles would determine the fate of Eternia. Adam refused to believe he was the chosen one, but the Sorceress said that despite Adam's parents knowing of the prophecy they'd always kept it from him. The Sorceress told Adam he had no choice. She returned his consciousness to the castle, where he wrested control of the Power Sword, which transformed him into He-Man, and he and Skeletor engaged in a furious battle.
