History: (Powerpuff Girls #2) - Buttercup’s classmate Tommy had a crush on her and he asked their teacher Ms. Keane how he could win her over. When Ms. Keane said girls liked flowers he surprised Buttercup with some freshly picked ones and kissed her on the cheek. She socked him, saying she was a rebel and a loner and had no use for boy cooties. Tommy cried that he’s given up on love, and HIM appeared. HIM said he hated love too, and with Tommy’s help he could put an end to love and the Powerpuff Girls. HIM gave Tommy an belt that shot anti-love rays, saying that whoever he targeted would lose all their love, and HIM would collect it in a magic crystal ball. The Mayor called the Powerpuff Girls after Tommy caused the love to leave Townsville. Tommy shot Bubbles with anti-love rays, but she was so full of love that it knocked her unconscious, and Tommy instantly regretted working with HIM. Blossom and Buttercup restored bubbles by telling her they loved her, and the amount of love the Powerpuff Girls had was too much for HIM’s crystal, which shattered. Tommy told Buttercup he was wrong for trying to get rid of all love just because she rejected him, and buttercup socked him again.
(Powerpuff Girls #4) - The Powerpuff Girls were excited to get a package in the mail from a fan. It contained Megatown Smasher, a videogame where the players controlled giant monsters and the object was to destroy Megatown. The Girls reasoned that after spending all their free time saving Townsville it would be a healthy stress relief to play bad guys and smash stuff. They didn’t realize the “fan” that sent them Megatown smasher was actually HIM, who built a reality distorter into the game that ensured what they destroyed in the game would be destroyed in real life in Townsville. The game hooked the Girls, and bubbles was more than happy to get out all the pent up aggression she kept hidden. The game’s avatars wrecked Townsville, and the mayor called in a panic, but the girls were too busy with their game to answer so sara Bellum had to scoop up the Mayor and save him as a giant monster smashed Townsville Hall. HIM was so pleased with his scheme that he planned on making more copies of Megatown Smasher and sending them out to kids all across the world. Dr. Utonium chided the Girls for not answering the emergency line, and when he told them giant monsters were destroying Townsville the Powerpuff girls realized the connection to the game. They knew only HIM could come up with such a diabolical plot and destroyed the game with their energy beams.
