History: (Sandman Mystery Theatre #30-32) - Paul was the VP of Bannermain Chemicals, and when Alexander Bannermain set up his New Year's Eve ball he had eyes on Bannermain's wife's priceless jewels that she'd be putting on display. Putting on a mask, and portraying himself as a criminal mastermind he contacted Lenny, head of the Breezy Boys gang. He gave him money for costumes, and invites to the ball, and told him to steal the jewels, promising that his gang could keep whatever other jewelry they could loot from the event. Hood thought he was low-class, and made no secret of his disdain for the unrefined criminal. The Hood next met the Face to add murder to the mix of his plans. He wanted him to behead Dorothy Bannermain so Bannermain Chemicals would benefit from her life insurance policy because he was sick of Alexander begging for dirty money. Lenny and his boys dragged Dot up to the roof and took her jewels, but found the escape route the Hood described didn't exist. Sandman and Hourman foiled them and kept the Face from killing Dot. Hood was aghast at seeing his plans unravel, and Lenny, realizing he'd been double-crossed, killed him with a shotgun blast to the chest.
