Powers: Horax were giant insects with a hard exoskeleton and sharp mandibles.

History: (Dragonlance #29) - The Horax beseiged the Glass Sailors of Taladas, assaulting their oasis and killing many. The Horax raided the Glass Sailor’s fields and were opposed by the sailors and Riva Silvercrown, who’d been sent to Taladas to spread good for her god Paladine. Young Sailor mage Krey cast a fireball spell that killed the Horax, but set the crops on fire. The Glass Sailors exiled him for putting their community at risk for starvation.
