History: Jean-Louis was born in Haiti, and as a young man immigrated to America to study computer science. After graduation he was hired by a large Silicon Valley computer company, but resigned when he heard his father was deathly ill. He returned to Haiti, and found that no doctor could help his father. The last resort was a houngan, or voodoo master, and Jean-Louis watched in fascination as the medicine man completely cured his father. Soon he became a disciple of voodoo, devoting every waking hour to studying the ancient art. Within two years he could call himself a master Houngan, but unlike his teachers, he merged the ancient voodoo rituals with modern computer science. Creating a computerized voodoo doll, Houngan set about to spread terror the old masters could never imagine. He soon caught the eye of Brain, who inducted him into the Brotherhood of Evil.

(DCU Holiday Bash #3) - Houngan spent the holiday season with his fellow inmates in the Slab. He let drop that Warp was going to teleport him away from prison, but Shrapnel distracted him so he could be the one Warp would help escape.
