Powers: Icemaiden could project snow or ice from her hands.

History: Sigrid's father and a group of scientists were conducting experiments to duplicate the powers of the legendary Ice-People, and Sigrid volunteered to be their test subject. The imbued her with cod based powers, and after taking the name Icemaiden she joined the Global Guardians.

Tora Olafsdotter, a true Ice-Person, joined the Global Guardians, making Icemaiden feel second-rate. She quit and handed the Icemaiden identity over to Tora.

After Tora's death Sigrid once again became Icemaiden and joined Justice League America.

(Final Night #1) - Superman organized a summit of superheroes, including Ice Maiden, to listen to an alien named Dusk. She'd seen the Sun-Eater snuff out the sun of countless planets, and she was there to warn the heroes that the Sun-Eater was headed towards Earth. The heroes discussed different ways to deal with the menace.

(Green Lantern III #81) - Coast City; Icemaiden was among the heroes who attended a memorial service for Green Lantern Hal Jordan.

(JLA #1) - Icemaiden and his former Justice League America teammates Nuklon, Metamorpho and Obsidian cleared their possessions out of the JLA Satellite in preparation of the new JLA's arrival. The Hyperclan blew up the Satellite, and Metamorpho formed an escape pod from his own body to allow Ice Maiden and the others to safely crash land on Earth.

In the pre-Crisis DC Universe Icemaiden lived on Earth-1A.

Icemaiden of the Global Guardians and Ice of JLI were originally supposed to be the same person, the revelation that there were two separate Icemiadens was a retcon.

Outsiders III #7 had a flashback of Ice Maiden's appearance in JLA #1.
