(Forever People I #1, Jack Kirby s Fourth  World #20) - Darkseid kidnapped Beautiful Dreamer from Supertown and brought her to Earth, because she had one of the few minds in the universe capable of understanding the anti-life equation. He had Inter-Gang shadow the Forever People, who'd followed their friend Dreamer to Earth, but when Superman joined them in finding Dreamer they easily defeated Inter-Gang, as well as the Gravi-Guards guarding Dreamer. Dreamer's mind resisted Darkseid's attempt to subvert it, so he released her back to her friends, but also left behind radion bombs that would have killed the Forever People if Superman didn't fly them to safety

(Mister Miracle I #1) -Escape artist Mr. Miracle Thaddeus Brown made a bet with Intergang chief Steel Hand that he couldn't devise an inescapable trap. Years later Miracle needed money for a new tour, and was ready for Steel hand's "Big Trap," but Steel Hand was afraid of losing the bet and losing face, so he wanted Miracle dead. An Intergang sniper killed Miracle, and his friend New God Scott Free dressed in Mr.Miracle's garb and confronted Steel Hand, but Intergang goons knocked him out and tied him to the "Big Trap," a rocket that shot Miracle into space, and then exploded. The new Mr. Miracle easily escaped the trap, defeated Steel hand, and handed him and his Intergang goons over to the police.

(New Gods I #3) - Sugar-Man assassinated fellow gang member Screamer, who his boss Badger thought was going to turn over evidence to the cops. Crippled Vietnam vet Sgt. Willie Walker witnessed the shooting, and although he couldn t move or speak Sugar-Man was ready to eliminate him as a witness before the Black Racer intervened and exploded Sugar-Man s gun in his hand. Intergang members tasked by Darkseid were preparing to detonate a bomb that would shut off the city s communication centers, but Orion defeated them. Sugar-Man escaped with the bomb, but Orion s mother box he lifed the bomb into space, where it exploded harmlessly. Black Racer, now using Walker as a host, claimed Sugar-Man s life.

(New Gods I #4) - Darkseid developed a jammer that kept Mother Boxes from locating the New Gods of Apokolips, and gave the jammer to Intergang to hide and protect. Orion forced Intergang member Snaky Doyle to reveal the location and confronted Country Boy and his Intergang underlings in a seaside hideout. Orion easily handled them and destroyed the jammer.

(Superman I #296, 297) - A series of reports by Clark Kent exposed Inter-Gang, and led to the arrests of several high ranking remembers. In retaliation they sent a robot to Clark's apartment to kill him, but Clark changed into Superman and easily dispatched the mechanical menace. Inter-Gang then planned on a way of destroying Superman, and converted the Big Eye, the world's most powerful telescope, into a weapon that channeled energy from orange stars. They shot a blast of the energy at Metropolis, and Superman stopped it by  smothering it in sand, but he'd unwittingly played into their hands. The orange energy would activate in his body if he performed any super-feats in the next few days, igniting him and all of Metropolis. What they didn't know was that Superman had lost his powers when not in costume, and decided to retire as Clark Kent. Clark did another investigation into Inter-Gang, and with the help of an informant found their truck, a mobile office. He used an anti-gravity device built for him by his friend Prof. Pepperwinkle to subdue the thugs inside and liberate a bunch of Inter-Gang papers.

(Superman I #298) - Clark Kent's investigation led to Inter-Gang boss Max Danner being brought up for trial with Clark as the star witness. Clark didn't show up for the first day of testimony, but Inter-Gang wanted to make sure he wouldn't be a problem, and sent a hitman to his apartment. Unknown to them Clark had decided to spend the week living only as Superman. The hitman found that Clark wasn't home, but Xviar, Clark's malevolent alien neighbor, was rifling through his apartment, and disintegrated the meddling hitman.

(DC Comics Presents #12) - Intergang members Numbers and Xugat broke out chieftain Carolyn Dole. She thought laying low in the slammer after messing with Superman was a good idea, but they convinced her the time was right to take down the Man of Steel. They d perfected the Mentropy Machine, which could obliterate a person s mind. They demonstrated it on turncoat Curry, who became an FBI informant, and planned to make Superman their next target. Mr. Miracle was tailing Carolyn, and overheard everything, but when they became aware of his presence they activated the Machine and fled on a thought wave. Mr. Miracle tried to warn Superman, but found that the Mentropy Machine s effects prevented him from doing so. He came up with a plan to side-step the Machine s effects, goading Superman into signing up for a highly publicized contest live on TV. They d meet in Nevada, and the first one back to Las Vegas would be the winner, with no other rules for the challenge. They battled with Superman seemingly winning, but when he flew off he found that Miracle had tricked him into flying in the opposite direction as Les Vegas using illusion. He caught up to Miracle who had already destroyed the Mentropy Manchine and apprehended  Numbers,  Xugat and Dole. He explained his actions to Superman, and that he d gambled that Intergang couldn't resist waiting for him at the finish line

Kanto tested his drug BZRK out in a rave and then confronted Jones an had Intergang goons inject him with BZRK, but Manhunter soon arrived, distracting Kanto and giving Jones the chance to inject BZRK into Kanto.
