History: (Beowulf #5) - Two aliens posed as the Mesopotamian deities Ishat and En-Lil, and for centuries they collected great Earth warriors and putting them into cryogenic chambers in their spaceship. Druids in the far east built a stonehenge to honor them, carving images of their spaceship, which they called a chariot of the gods. The warrior Beowulf and his companions came across the henge, and were attacked by the druids, with Beowulf and his companion Nan-Zee being brought to the spaceship. The ship took off, and a high priestess explained to Beowulf that he would join other heroes in suspended animation. This angered Beowulf, and he smashed the cryogenic units, freeing the ancient warriors, who turned against their captors. Ishtar and En-Lil responded to the disturbance on their ship, determined to kill Beowulf and Nan-Zee to get their other prisoners back into line. Beowulf grabbed one of their rayguns, shooting the ship's control panel, and causing the ship to crash. Beowulf, Nan-Zee and Ulysses jumped from the ship before the crash, but the ship exploded, causing a chain reaction that sunk Atlantis.
