History:
(Catwoman III #48) - Catwoman went undercover in Professor Hugo Strange's crew, and came up with a plan to take them down, but she'd have to fake her own death. She met with Holly and Karon, telling Holly that no matter how bad things looked to trust that she was going to be okay.
(Catwoman III #50) - Holly went shopping for old movies, and was extremely pleased when Karon found a copy of Danger: Diabolik. Karon said Catwoman faking her own death and then everything going back to normal was unnerving, but Holly said she always trusted Catwoman, and said her friend always knew what she was doing.
(Catwoman III #51, 52) - Holly and Karon went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and afterwards they ran into Slam Bradley, who was visiting town. They chatted, while, unbeknownst to them Black Mask was stalking them. He'd planned on kidnapping Holly to get at Catwoman, but decided to snatch Slam instead. He roughed up Holly and Karon, and took Slam, intending to torture him. Holly and Karon told Catwoman, who immediately set off to rescue her friend. Black Mask sent Selina a number of surveillance photos of Holly in the mail, and Selina went to warn her and Karon that she was being stalked. Holly told her to get a grip, and was convinced Catwoman could handle Black Mask and keep her safe. Catwoman decided she needed a permanent solution to prevent Black Mask from further hurting her friends, and shot him in the head, killing him.
(Catwoman III #54) - <one year later> Selina gave birth to her daughter Helena and passed the Catwoman mantle on to Holly. Holly was abducted by Angle Man, and Karon called Catwoman in a panic because it was the middle of the nuight and her girlfriend hadn't returned home. Selina assured her Hoilly had been trained well, and was perfectly safe. Holly retrned hours later, bloody after her confrontation with Angle Man, but refused to talk to Karon about it.
(Catwoman III #60, 61) - Detective Lenahan caught Holly, unmasking and booking her in hopes of drawing out the original Catwoman. Karon was worried sick when she couldn't get in contact with Holly, but Selina rescued her friend, and Holly and Karon had a joyous reunion. Selina spent time with Helena, Karon and Holly, and followed the Film Freak's rampage. Karon figured out that he was carrying out violent reenactments of classical films through the ages, and wondered what movie he'd use as his finale. Film Freak hijacked a Gotham TV network, killing everyone except the movie critic. He said his movie was about to end in an explosive finale, and challenged the audience to save Gotham City by figuring out the connection in "Dr. Strangelove," "Killers from Space," and "Return of the Living Dead." Karon told Selina she didn't know the answer despite being a fangirl, and after Film Freak forced Bobby the critic to go on a high-speed chase through the East End reminiscent of "The French Connection" Selina suited up and pursued them. Film Freak threw a grenade that injured Catwoman, and acquired the uranium he needed to finish his bomb with which he'd destroy Gotham. Catwoman fought through her internal injuries, and Karon, after reviewing the films in Film Freak's riddle put her on the track of nuclear armageddon. Film Freak prepared for his finale in a classic theatre, shooting Bobby, saying he needed to be the only star. He showed Catwoman the bomb, and when she tried to dissuade him from following through, he showed her that it was already armed, and he was more concerned with his place in history than saving his skin. As he spouted more movie quotes Catwoman overpowered him and beat him bloody. Holly arrived as Catwoman in time to see Selina disable the nuke. They returned home, where a bloody Slam Bradley was cradling Helena, telling her they needed to have a talk about his granddaughter.
(Catwoman III #62) - Selina realized she owed everyone an explanation, and said her life went off the rails when she killed Black Mask. Holly was stupefied, and angry that Selina never told her. Selina said she did what she did to keep her friends safe, and Slam backed her up in her decision. Slam said his son had told him about his love affair with Selina, and he was hurt because they'd been lovers in the past, and felt Selina had traded him in for a younger model. Selina said that wasn't how it went at all, and while they took down the remains of Black Mask's mob they had spontaneous moments of passion. She recounted how Sam died a hero, and Slam thanked her for having been straight with him. He admitted that he'd been heavily medicated since his son died, and had turned back to the bottle, but thought he had a reason to pull himself out of the hole he was in. Selina and Slam cooed over Helena, and Selina said she had her grandfather's eyes.
(Catwoman III #64, 66, 67) - The news reported an Amber Alert, and Holly prepared to go into action as Catwoman. Karon asked her not to go, and reminded her that Selina was trying to keep her out of jail. Holly said she didn't trust the East End police to find the missing girl in time, and she had an obligation as Catwoman to protect the innocent. Holly was unmasked on the air during a fight with supervillain Blitzkrieg, and the news covered her battling with Hammer and Sickle. Karon and Slam were both worried, and talked on the phone about the commotion. Catwoman saved Holly, but Sickle's superhuman senses identified the odor of her daughter, and Hammer went to Selina's apartment, where Karon was babysitting. Hammer knocked Karon cold, injuring her, but Holly and Catwoman managed to take down the villains and save Helena. Holly called an ambulance for Karon, and Catwoman told her to make herself scarce.
