History: (Masters of the Universe: The Origin of Skeletor #1 (fb)) - King Miro's two sons were Keldor and Randor. Keldor was the eldest, and should have been heir to his father's throne, but his mother was a Gar, so he was shunned in favor of Randor. Keldor and Randor were close as children, and when one of Hordak's men tried to kidnap Randor, Keldor stopped the man with his sword, although Randor asked him not to kill the underling, as it was not their way. Keldor personally interrogated the underling, whipping him until he revealed more about Hordak. King Miro praised Randor for capturing the underling, oblivious to Randor and Keldor both telling him who the real hero was. Miro declared Randor his official Heir over Randor's objection that Keldor was the elder and the more suited to the role. Miro said Keldor would serve as Randor's right hand and closest advisor. Keldor felt betrayed, saying he was never good enough for his brother, his father, or anyone else. Keldor established communications with Hordak and the Horde World, and Hordak promised he could help Keldor claim what was rightfully his. When Randor was crowned king of Eternia, and Keldor found the time was right to act, as he betrayed the kingdom to Hordak's Horde, who burned the kingdom down. During the battle Keldor suffered a serious burn to his face that dissolved his flesh, leaving him with a skeletal visage. He feared he was dying, and reflected on what had led him down such a disastrous and disgraced path. He found Randor, who said he'd never forgotten how his brother had saved his life, and how he'd always valued him and his council. Keldor asked for forgiveness, which Randor gladly gave, but Keldor said he didn't want forgiveness for betraying Eternia, he wanted forgiveness for what he was about to do. He stabbed Randor, and the spilling of blood was the key to opening up a wormhole to Horde World for Keldor. Hordak greeted him, and used his magic to heal Keldor, transform his body into a more monstrous appearance, and give him new sorcerous powers. Hordak said Keldor was now gone, and only his loyal apprentice Skeletor remained.
