History: (Doom Patrol vol. 1 #114)-Professor Koravyk was a renowned inventor, but he had moral objections to creating weapons of war. Feeling threatened by his government, he fled to America, but this only created new problems. The American government was also pressuring him into making weapons of war, and his home country sent secret police to hound him. He pleaded his case to his old friend the Chief, but was rebuffed. He decided the only way to save himself was to open up a time barrier and send himself into prehistoric times. He activated his time machine, which had never been properly tested, but the result was disastrous. Instead of opening a portal into the past, his laboratory and an entire city block was transformed into a million year old prehistoric landscape. Koravyk was also devolved into a hulking caveman. Unlike his pacifist alter ego, the caveman only had love for war and destruction. He named himself Kor the Conqueror and after arming himself with a sonic blaster he started attacking the rest of the city. Although he could no longer comprehend the world around him, he still had a primal urge to conquer it. Chief sent his Doom Patrol to subdue Kor, which proved easy after they destroyed his sonic weapon. Chief used his scientific genius to undue the damage Kor caused, and transformed the caveman back into Professor Koravyk. Koravyk was grateful, and promised to return to his studies and devote himself to creating world peace.
