History: (Dreaming #4, 5) - <1827 / 1956> Lady Constantine stole a key from Mad Hettie that once belonged to President Jefferson. Constantine didn't know what it opened, but knew anything possessed by Hettie was likely magical. Hettie stole it back, and fled into the nearby woods that were one of the soft places, where time periods slipped into each other. She ended up in 1956, where Hettie came across architect Brian Salmon, who was lost in the woods after encountering three faeries that had visited the earthly plane for midsummer's eve. Hettie told him fairies were hussies, and gave him her key for safekeeping. she directed him home, but after losing consciousness he ended up in 1996. Back in 1827 Constantine caught up with Hettie. Hettie warned her she was a dangerous enemy, but admitted she was a pretty good ally. She knew Constantine craved a way to extend her own life, and offered her another 99 years if she agreed to stay out of Hettie's business, and they parted on good terms.

(Dreaming #7) -<1859> Lady Constantine was old and infirm, but still alive. Her caretaker took her to a banquet to celebrate her 99th birthday, and she mused that Hettie'd kept her word. She watched the sunset, and heard Orpheus singing before she peacefully slipped into death.
