Powers: Lazlo was a zombie, undead an immune to conventional attacks, although his rotting body caused him excruciating pain. He possessed enhanced strength and speed.

History: (Swamp Thing VI #1-3) - Lazlo Wormwood was form a working class family, and at 18 he enrolled in the Crowley College for the Evolving Arts, taking courses in the study of life after death. Professor Crisp wanted to test his theories by momentarily killing a student, and then bringing them back from the dead. Lazlo volunteered because he was eager to please, but the experiment went wrong, and he died. His grieving parents dug him up and performed an occult ritual to restore him to life, but he came back as a zombie bent on vengeance. He dismembered Crisp and scattered his remains across the campus, and then started targeting his fellow students. His parents went to the bayou and pleaded with Swamp Thing to find their son, and the avatar went to Crowley, finding Lazlo in the act of snapping the necks of two students. They battled, and Lazlo seemed horrified at the idea of being reunited with his parents. In a rage he ripped Swamp Thing in two. Lazlo killed more students, and decided to turn his attention to his parents, despite their pleas that they meant well. Swamp Thing fought him again, and Lazlo didn't understand why Swamp Thing wouldn't let him have his vengeance. Swamp Thing used a traditional method to put him down, shoving sea salt down his throat and sewing his mouth shut. Lazlo sunk into true death, and Swamp Thing told his parents to bury him properly. The police caught the Wormwoods, and took Lazlo to the morgue.
