History: (Star Spangled Comics I #1) - "Lefty" Banx worked as a mechanic for the airforce. When he fell asleep on base a commanding officer mistook him for a pilot, and sent him on a flight. "Lefty" didn't argue because he wanted to show everyone he was more than a grease monkey, but he soon crashed the plane.

"Lefty" Banx was one of DC's many one-page gag strips from their earlier days of publication.
