(Green Lantern I #31) - Pete carried Mrs. Floogle's groceries, hoping to earn some money, but when he told her he was going to join the boyscouts she said she'd already rewarded him by giving him a chance to do a good deed ahead of joining.
(Adventure Comics I #250) - Pete had to paint the fence before he went to the movies, so to speed the process along he nailed five brushes to a board, making a more effective brush.
(Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #29) - Little Pete was playing baseball, but Pete s friend wanted Little Pete out because he was so small and all the balls went over his head. Pete evened the odds by giving Little Pete an extendible glove.
(Plastic Man I #7) - Little Pete wanted to try out his new boxing gloves, but didn’t want to challenge any of the boys on his block, so he approached his much younger and shrimpier pal Orvie.
