Powers: Lucien was a master library and researcher. In his previous incarnation in the Dreaming he was a raven.

History: Lucien served as The Dreaming's librarian, cataloging every book ever thought of or ever written in dreams.

(Spectre III #20, 21) - The Spectre had threatened to judge the world, and Prof. Nicodemus Hazzard knew he could control him with the Spear of Destiny. He had little luck researching its current location, so he entered the Dreaming and asked Lucien for assistance in his library. Hazzard learned that after passing hands a few times after WWII the Spear ended up in possession of the US military, and had been inventoried and stored away. Lucien told him the book he was reading wa sthe one he intended to write on the Spear of Destiny, but never would.

(Spectre II #22) - The US government gave Superman the Spear of Destiny, and Hazzard felt he was forgetting something important, so he entered the Dreaming to talk to Lucien again. Lucien told him that Adolf Hitler had imprinted a curse on the Spear that would corrupt those that wielded it.

(Dreaming #1) - Abel's golden gargoyle ran away when she couldn't bear seeing Cain kill her friend. The brothers tried to find her, and deciding they needed to know more about golden gargoyles they turned to the Dreaming's library. Lucien remarked that there was precious little information, and the topic was rarely pursued. He'd only met one other person seeking to research golden gargoyles, and they were quite limbless. He pulled the one book he had, which hinted that golden gargoyles guarded places of secrets like gargoyles did, but only more so. Lucien was horrified to find that someone had ripped out most of the pages referencing golden gargoyles, and the brothers took their leave.
