Powers: Luthor possessed a genius-level intellect and could manipulate matter and anti-matter, using the energy generated to fire destructive blasts. He was able to access and travel between dimensional portals.
History: Alexander Luthor, Jr. was born on Earth-3 where good was dominated by evil. He was the son of Lois Lane and the heroic Luthor, the primary antagonist of Ultraman. The Anti-Monitor wanted to destroy the multiverse, and eliminated Earth-03, but Luthor sent his son on a rocket to the space station of the Monitor on Earth-1 The trip through the multiverse aged him to adulthood, and gave him control over matter and anti-matter.
(Swamp Thing II #46) - Luthor teleported a number of heroes to the Monitor's satellite ad explained his plan to make sure reality survived the Crisis. Afterwards John Constantine introduced Luthor to Swamp Thing, who Constantine promised would ensure that the spiritual realms survived the after-effects of the Crisis.
(JSA #70) - Lex Luthor and the Society welcomed Black Adam into their inner circle.
(Batgirl I #62) - Penguin started a new crime empire in Bludhaven and arranged for an arms deal with The Society. Batgirl was on to Penguin, so he sent the Brotherhood of Evil after her. Penguin assured Luthor, Deathstroke and Calculator that Batgirl was no longer a concern to them, but Deathstroke was skeptical, knowing how dangerous and tough Batgirl was. Batgirl did survive, putting a kibosh on the arms deal.
(Batgirl I #63) - When Batgirl foiled Penguin’s arms deal with the Brotherhood of Evil she damaged his standing in The Society. Penguin met with Luthor, Dr. Psycho and Calculator demanding they help him take down Batgirl once and for all. He said Deathstroke was clearly the man for the job, and Deathstroke considered his proposal.
(JSA #73) - Luthor spoke to Black Adam via viewscreen to tell him their were complaints about how Adam used force to recruit villains for the Society. Luthor wanted people that believed in his cause, not cowed hirelings. Adam and Luthor traded veiled threats before ending their conversation.
(JSA #76) - Luthor and the Society inner circle watched the trial of Atom-Smasher, who was being tried for breaking international law in the invasion of Khandaq. Adam commented that he was a man of conviction, but Luthor called Atom a fool. Calculator sent a video conference call to inform them of a rumor that would make the JLA s brainwashing of Dr. Light pale in comparison to what he d learned.
(Firestorm: The Nuclear Man II #31 (fb)) - Tokamak handed his clone daughter Gehenna over to Luthor to power his reality-altering machine in Brazil. Tokamak had no real interest in helping Luthor, but knew the villain had Firestorm in captivity for the same purpose, and he wanted his daughter to insinuate herself into Firestorm s life.
(Firestorm II #22, Infinite Crisis #5) - An army of heroes battled Luther at the center of the universe.
