Wolf’s brother was the WWII super villain Captain Nazi, who he kept in stasis in his basement, and he spend long hours regaling Katrina with tales of the Captain’s “heroism.“ Katrina was given the powers of Madame Libertine, and aside from exhilarating in the power of flight, she spent her powers on killing minorities. Wolf sent her to get eandorium gas, which he needed to keep Nazi in stasis, and she created a riot as a distraction. Mary Marvel confronted her, but she used her mind-control to stoke Mary’s rage over the murder of her parents. Mary flew off in a rage to kill the man responsible, Black Adam, but snapped out of it before she committed homicide. She delivered the gas to Wolf, and decided she was sick of living in her great-uncle’s shadow, so she went off to cause havoc. She mind-controlled a black man, and made him commit suicide. Mary Marvel witnessed this, and was furious at the hatemonger. Rather than risk a direct confrontation again Libertine merely hid from her. Back at home Wolf had decided the time was right to reawaken his brother, and he released Captain Nazi from stasis. Wolf had a plan that required a substantial amount of money, and Captain Nazi said he’d simply knock over a bank. Libertine reminded him that it wasn’t the ‘40s anymore, and that super villains didn’t just rob banks. He was offended, refusing to take advice from a woman, and flew off to steal some money.
(Power of Shazam II #7) - During Nazi’s escapade he crippled young Freddy Freeman and made an enemy of Captain Marvel. Wolf gave Captain Nazi a medical exam, he seemed to be sick following his waking from cryogenic sleep. He heard a radio broadcast demonizing him, and raising funds for Freeman’s medical treatment. Libertine taunted him, telling him he’d made a martyr out of a boy she suspected of being Jewish based on his name. Nazi disregarded Wolf’s pleas for his health, and decided to visit Freeman in the hospital, a scheme that saw him defeated by Marvel and landing in prison.
(Power of Shazam II #9) - Mary Marvel was bringing Captain Nazi to prison when Libertine decided to engage her in another fight. After loosing Mary’s inhibitions, she realized that she’d only made Mary stronger, and the hero prevailed., taking away Libertine’s gloves that gave her power, and sending her off with the police.
