Powers: Mr. Atom was a nuclear powered robot possessed of vast superhuman strength and durability. he could fly and shoot nuclear energy from his hands. Mr. Atom was brilliant, but his mind lacked human emotion or empathy, amking him a remorseless killer.

History: Scientist Charles Langley created Mr. Atom to prove atomic energy could create virtual life. He planned to bring Atom to life and consciousness through a slow process, but his computations were off, resulting in a massive explosion that destroyed his lab. The awakened Atom entered the world of men, and seeing how much mightier he was than humanity, decided to conquer it. He told humanity that they could serve him or die, it made no difference to him. Captain Marvel defeated him, and he would go on to be a recurring adversary for the hero.
