Powers: Poseidon traveled in an undersea vessel in the shape of a manta ray, and used a reducer-enlarger ray that could alter the size of any target.

History: (Sea Devils #2) - Mr. Poseidon was a spy and an explorer of the ocean, as well as the inventor of the reducer-enlarger ray. He was contracted by foreign powers to steal the U.S. navy’s experimental engine-staller device, but ran afoul of the Sea Devils. He escaped them, and returned to the nautical supply store he owned, shrinking the engine staller with his ray and secreting it in a bottle. The Sea Devils started snooping around his shop, so he shrunk them to microscopic size, and put them in the same bottle he had the engine-staller in. The microscopic Sea Devils had to contend with threatening protists and plankton, and Poseidon started shaking their bottle to make their situation more precarious. They found the engine-staller, and used explosives to blast the cork from their bottle. Poseidon realized they were getting away, but he couldn’t see them, and trained his enlarger ray on them. The enlarged Sea devils wrecked Poseidon’s scientific equipment, and handed him over to the authorities.
