(Green Lantern I #4) - Cicero brought a dog into the house, and Mutt chastised him because it constantly scrapped with his cat, so he bought a cat mask for the dog and a dog mask for the cat to fool them.

(Green Lantern I #7) - Mutt and Jeff collected donations as Santa Clauses, but when Mutt started lifting the money for himself Jeff went into business as an independent Santa.

(Green Lantern I #7) - Mutt felt cooped up in the house with his wife, so Jeff gave him a hoop to attach to his back so Jeff could rescue him with a grappling hook from a plane. Mrs. Mutt got suspicious, and got tangled up in the hoop, going on a disastrous flight alongside her husband.

(Green Lantern I #7) - Mutt's son bet him an ice cream float he could say something Mutt couldn't, and beat him with a tongue twister. Mutt tried the same trick on Jeff, but couldn't get the words out himself.

(Green Lantern I #8) - Mutt bought a polar bear rug, but upon inspecting it, it turned out to be a goat's skin.

(Green Lantern I #8) - Jeff ran a taxi stand, and when Mutt picked up a ride he was displeased to find that the taxi had noo floor and he had to keep running the entire ride.

(Green Lantern I #8) - Mutt and Jeff went duck hunting, and Mutt used his son's toy duck as a decoy. The only thing he ended up hitting was his child's toy, which was ruined. They went quail hunting, and Jeff was being unsportsmanlike by aiming at a grounded bird. Jeff's dog started howling, not because he'd spotted something, but because he sat on a thistle. Jeff made a nuisance of himself by aiming at Mutt, and ended up shooting their friend Perkins in the bottom.

(Green Lantern I #9) - Jeff told his old pal Gus Geevum that Mutt was living with his wife again, and when Gus asked how they were getting on Jeff pointed him to Mutt, who was running away from projectiles thrown by the missus.

(Green Lantern I #9) - Mutt took his wife shopping for dresses, and he argued with Jeff about asking out one of the models.

(Green Lantern I #9) - Jeff was doing construction, and told Mutt it was a rush job, so he had to yell ow whenever his boss hurt himself because he was too busy to do it himself.

(Green Lantern I #9) - Jeff begged Mutt for $20 on behalf of a man with a sick wife, but his main motivation was the fact that the man owed him $20.

(Green Lantern I #10) - Mutt and Jeff took a ship to Alaska, and Mutt fell overboard. He yelled when he saw sharks, but Jeff teased him that he'd be fine because they were man-eating sharks. Once they arrived in Al;aska they tried to get used to having six months of night, and went on an unsuccessful whale hunt. The next trip they went on was a jaunt to Canada.

(Green Lantern I #10) - Mutt gave a hitchhiker a ride, but he decided to walk instead because Mutt was such a slow driver.

Mutt (Green Lantern I #11) - Mutt and Jeff saw a lost child, but when they learned there was no reward for finding him they kept walking.

(Green Lantern I #11) - Jeff invented a moth-killing spray, and considered it a success even though it destroyed all of Mutt's clothes.

(Green Lantern I #11) - Jeff gave Mutt directions on their road trip, and when he couldn't decide on a right or left they ended up wrapped around a street sign.

(Green Lantern I #11) - Mutt and Mrs. Mutt had Jeff announce the guests of a family party, but when he was told to call their names he thought he was supposed to call them names, and began insulting everyone.

(Green Lantern I #11) - Mutt's wife caught him playing dice, and he fled with Jeff. He bought an army listening-device so Mrs. Mutt couldn't sneak up on him again.

(Green Lantern I #11) - Mutt quizzed Jeff about how he'd work as an army sentry, and his pal turned out to be too trigger-happy.

(Green Lantern I #12) - Mutt and Jeff were working in a butcher shop when a woman made a very large order, and they told her they couldn't deliver it to her house because she'd bought the horse. Mutt told Jeff not to open his mouth at the shop because he was a nut, and he ended up offending a customer by not telling him the price of some apples.

(Green Lantern I #12) - Mutt was the first customer of a new barbershop, but ran out when the barber said his last job was as a butcher.

(Green Lantern I #12) - Jeff wanted to see his girlfriend Vi but didn't have gas money, so Mutt wrapped him up and shipped him in the mail.

(Green Lantern I #12) - Mutt bought Jeff a pig to raise for food, but Jeff said he couldn't keep it in his room because it smelled and his room was already filled witch chickens and ducks. Jeff was grateful, so be bought Mutt a cow.

(Green Lantern I #13) - Jeff told Mutt he'd been appointed commander of the US Air Force, but in reality he was just blowing up balloons for a streetside vendor.

(Green Lantern I #13) - Jeff told Mutt the war could be won with more planes, and that he was so air-minded insects were using his head as a landing strip.

(Green Lantern I #13) - Mutt didn't want Jeff wasting gasoline seeing his new girl every night, so he put tacks in the driveway to pop Jeff's tires. Jeff foiled him by using wooden tires, and when on officer pulled him over for driving a suspicious vehicle he claimed that it wasn't a vehicle at all.

(Green Lantern I #13) - Mutt was working nights, so Jeff bought blackout paint so he could sleep during the day, causing Mutt to sleep through two days of work.

(Green Lantern I #14) - Mutt and Jeff got jobs as reports, and their chief was not amused when Jeff's two scoops turned out to be ice cream scoops. He sent them to cover a live wire that fell on main street, and told one of them to touch it so they'd have a story.

(Green Lantern I #14) - Mutt and Jeff worked in a shoe store and dealt with a difficult customer, a lady who refused to admit that she was not a size 3.

(Green Lantern I #15) - Mutt and Jeff worked as shoe salesman. Jeff offended a customer who didn't like the shoes he gave her because they spread with age, and he said it was okay because the same was true for her.

(Green Lantern I #15) - Jeff was a failure at selling wholesale groceries, and Mutt said he'd show him how it was done. He ended up purchasing a grocery store to sell the goods. Jeff ruined the first day of business by forgetting to unlock the front door.

(Green Lantern I #16) - Jeff told Mutt he'd gotten a job backstage at the Minsk Show House. Mr. Minsk asked him why he hadn't come for his paycheck in weeks, and he said he thought his pay was being able to look at pretty showgirls.

(Green Lantern I #16) - Mutt and Jeff were in court for taking a lady's handbag, and they explained that while they were on a streetcar she annoyed them by opening it and repeatedly fiddling with her change.

(Green Lantern I #16) - Mutt told Jeff his long nose scared children, so Jeff brought him to a plastic surgeon. Mutt griped at the cost of the operation, and the doctor told him he could just run into a lamppost.

(Green Lantern I #16) - Jeff convinced Mutt to go back to Mrs. Mutt after she received a large inheritance from her uncle. They were happy to be reunited, but before long Mrs. Mutt was back to kicking him out of the house.

(Green Lantern I #17) - Mutt and Jeff bought a used car, but wanted their money back because every time they parked a police officer arrived, assuming there was an accident because of the racket it made.

(Green Lantern I #17) - Mutt and Jeff wondered why Bud Fisher had them standing on an icy lake in summer, and thought he'd flipped his lid. Fisher got back at them by drawing a hole in the ice under them.

(Green Lantern I #17) - Mutt tried to talk Jeff out of buying a cat, telling him how superior dogs were, and that they were man's best friend. Jeff ignored him, not caring if a cat was his friend because he liked cats.

(Green Lantern I #17) - Jeff lost his job because he was always admiring his reflection in a mirror, and Mutt scolded him for his vanity, but found him a suitable job polishing mirrors.

(Green Lantern I #17) - Jeff bet Mutt he could prove he wasn't present, saying if he wasn't in St. Louis or Chicago he was somewhere else, and somewhere else wasn't here. Mutt didn't appreciate his insane logic and took his money, but Jeff told him he was a sucker because he'd just have to pay income tax on his winning.

(Green Lantern I #17) - Jeff didn't believe Mutt's story about Benjamin Franklin drawing lightning from the sky with a kite, and decided to repeat the experiment. He was blasted with a shock, and decided he'd believe Mutt for once.

(Green Lantern I #18) - Jeff saw Mutt wore reading glasses, and espoused the Panglossian idea that nature gave humans ears and noses specifically for wearing glasses before they were invented.

(Green Lantern I #18) - Mutt made a big deal of telling Jeff he remembered he owed him money. He didn't have it, he just wanted Jeff to know he remembered.

(Green Lantern I #18) - Jeff admired Mutt's moosehead, and Jeff told a yarn about hunting it with a bow-and-arrow, but Jeff spotted the clearance price tag on it.

(Green Lantern I #19) - Jeff carried baggage up the stairs for a well-to-do man, and received a nickel tip. He complained, but the man said a nickel for one minute of work equaled $144 a week. With Mutt snoozing at home Jeff did some calculations to figure out if he got ripped off.

(Green Lantern I #19) - Mutt and Jeff sat behind a lady with a fancy feathered hat on the train, and Jeff plucked one of her feathers, telling her she was melting.

(Green Lantern I #19) - Mutt needed to borrow some money, but Jeff said he was broke because he just bought a guitar. Mutt went to yell at the salesman for selling his pal something he didn't need, but ended up being persuaded to buy an accordion for himself. They were horrible musicians, and when a neighbor brought a shotgun upset with the racket, they decided to sell their new gear.

(Green Lantern I #19) - Mutt and Jeff bragged to Sir Sidney about the fish they caught on vacation. Jeff was upset he couldn't stretch his short arms as far as Mutt, so he decided to find a way to become taller.

(Green Lantern I #19) - Mutt bragged about his smarts to Jeff, and said he needed something to devote the rest of his life to. Jeff gave him a sieve and told him to fill it with water, saying that's take a while.

(Flash Comics #70) - Jeff wanted Mutt to see the girl he had a crush on. She was at the bus stop and as she and Jeff made googly eyes at each other Mutt told him to ask her out, but Jeff said he couldn’t, because he didn’t know her well enough.

(Flash Comics #70) - Jeff accidentally used Mutt’s shaving cream as toothpaste.

(Flash Comics #70) - Jeff told Mutt he’d never been in an accident, and Mutt reminded him about a railroad accident. He said that when he was on the railroad it went under a tunnel and he’d accidentally kissed his girl’s father because it was dark. The old man hit him, but Jeff said that didn’t count as an accident because the old man did it on purpose.

(Flash Comics #70) -Mutt and Jeff were thrilled to get a fan letter praising their comic strip until they realized it was from a mental patient who thought he was Napoleon.

(Flash Comics #70) -Jeff told Mutt he could tell everything about a person’s character from one look. He pointed to a child and called them an unkempt girl, but their tough looking parent showed up saying the child was their daughter. Jeff backtracked and said their son would go up to be president calling the parent a man of character, and the parent revealed she was the child’s mother.

(Flash Comics #70) - Mutt was convinced Jeff didn’t know the alphabet, and Jeff protested, but the only alphabet he knew was the order of letters from the optician. Mutt tried desperately to teach him the alphabet, but had to settle for Jeff figuring out the letter A came first, and after it was every other letter.
