History: (Dragonlance #18) - Wistan Dawnbringer showed great promise in his training, and petitioned to become a knight of the sword. Sigmun said he had to complete a quest first, and introduced him to the elf Solith. Ravenna, a wizard of the black robes, and her band of ogres, had been making inroads into elven lands, and kidnapped Solith's sister Vyraths, who had knowledge of the lands defenses. They travelled to Ravenna's sphere of influence and fought a group of ogres, killing them all. Vyraths had been turned into a tree through black magic, and Solith wanted to put her out of her misery, but Wistan staid his hand, saying they had to find a way to save her. He knew the ogres had to be extracting information from her somehow, so he consumed one of her fruits, gaining the knowledge of how to return her to normal. The garden of souls contained a flower that would return her to normal, so Wistan and Solith fought through a patch of carnivorous plants to get it.

(Dragonlance #27) - Hith was a god of evil who controlled the land of Thenol, located on the continent of Taladas. Hith was angered when the great Paladine, good of good, sent his servant Riva Silvercrown to Taladas to banish evil from the land. Hith’s bishop Trandamere informed him that a cluth of Silver Dragon eggs were about to hatch in Wind Caverns of Rathna Vulghan, and Hith wanted them for his own so he could turn them into an army of Draconians. Riva, her dragon Ktarrh and a council of dragons were trying to convince the Silver Dragons, led by Eron, that the eggs were better protected being scattered throughout Taladas instead of concentrated in one area. They knew the unborn dragons could be a great force for good, but Erestem and Hith both sought them out for their own evil ends. Hith unleashed an army of ogres on the hatching grounds. Eron and the other dragons killed them, but not before they managed to smash all of the eggs. Eron grieved, and Riva knew he’d learned a dear lesson in putting one’s pride above all else. Hith was disappointed in the Ogre’s clumsy failure, but was nonetheless pleased that he’d managed to spread sorrow and despair.
