History: (Sea Devils #32) - <2166> The Outsiders arrived on Earth bent on enslaving the planet. After a show of military force they began draining the Earth’s oceans, and pumped the water into the atmosphere to create liquefied air and an environment in which they’d thrive. They enslaved a number of humans using their will-sapping powers, but an underground resistance still existed. Their plans hit a bump when the remaining seas were too salty to be properly drained. The Outsiders researched the planet-stone, an extraterrestrial object that landed on Earth that could desalinify water. It was last recorded as being put in a time capsule centuries ago, so they sent three of their human slaves into a timewarp to retrieve it. The slaves found the planet-stone, but were opposed by the Sea Devils, who hitched a ride with them into the future. The Outsiders tried to kill the Devils, but they fled and met Luv-El, a member of the human resistance. The Outsider’s tyrant prepared to use the planet-stone, but was halted by Luv-El, and the Devils, who blasted him with a ray gun and took back the stone. The Devils returned to their own time with the Outsider’s timewarp, and shot the planet-stone into space so the Outsiders couldn’t use it against humanity in the future.
